Venue
The school will be held in the premises of the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), in Trieste, Italy.
All courses and activities will be carried out at the ICTP, which offers all facilities and WiFi.
All participants and lecturers will be accommodated in the ICTP guest house.
There are no accommodation charges. Full board at the ICTP is covered by the school from Sunday October 12, 2014 (starting at dinner) until Saturday October 18, 2014 (after breakfast).
All students will be accommodated in double rooms with twin beds (males and females in separate rooms). Please specify at registration whether you would like to share the room with a specific school participant. In case you don't have a preference, the organizing committee will indicate the name of the participant with whom you will share the room.

This airport offers several domestic flights per day to Roma (FCO) and other italian airports, as well as some international flights to Birmingham, Brussels (CRL), London (STN), Munich, Nice, Paris (BVA), Valencia. Trieste can also be reached by train and by coach, from Milano and Venezia. Airports in Milano and Venezia offer more options of direct international flights than the Trieste airport.

Visa Information
Visitors from outside the European Union (EU) should check whether or not a visa is required. In most cases a valid passport will be sufficient. Moreover, visitors from central and east Europe should check whether or not a special health insurance is required for receiving a visa. All insurance and visa costs must be borne by the participant.

Schengen Agreement : Italy is a member of the Schengen Agreement and so are Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece,Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Participants from outside these countries and the European Union (EU) but with a valid visa for one of the Schengen countries may freely move into and within any other Schengen country without any further controls.
Letter of Invitation : Participants who need to receive an official letter of invitation in order to obtain a visa, to raise travel funds or for administrative purposes should apply for this invitation sending their request to

Please be specific in mentioning what should be mentioned on this letter besides your name and the fact that you're invited to attend the school.
It should be understood, however, that such an invitation is not a commitment on the part of the organisers to provide financial support.
